In 1997/1998 I spent my semester abroad in Stockholm, where I started to get into this whole "internet thing" and was in need of a suitable nickname. I have used that one ever since...Outlander Chronicles 2013

Mug Shot #09
I’m a regular costumer at Starbucks, but I haven’t bought one of the regular “city mugs” so far. Maybe because I don’t have a special connection to any of the cities of which special Starbucks mugs are available. Or maybe … Continue reading
Still-Leben A 40: Party on the Highway
I promised to post a few photos from the A 40 event yesterday, when 60 km of the main highway in our metropolitan area was closed down and turned into a party location. It was amazing and so much fun … Continue reading

Capital of Culture: !Sing – Day of Song

I spent yesterday at the volunteer training for the “Shaft Sign” event of the European Capital of Culture. There is extensive website (unfortunately only in German) www.schachtzeichen.de but there are also quite a few details in English about this project … Continue reading

The Times, They Are A-Changing
I haven’t blogged a lot lately. And even that statement might be an understatement. I was just really busy and not necessarily with stuff that’s worth writing about. I think I mentioned it once (or several times *g*) before, that … Continue reading
Defying Daisy…
It’s too bad that I don’t have any idea how to translate the saying “Nur die Harten kommen in ‘en Garten” for the non-German-speakers. Because that basically sums up what I think about all the news regarding “Daisy” a blizzard … Continue reading
